The Office of Global Engagement, Immigration Services, is required to charge certain internal fees. This website allows you to pay these fees online, with a credit card. There are four different fees, depending on your status / situation.

1. International Scholar Compliance Fees (ISCF)
The International Scholar Compliance Fees (ISCF) are assessed to international J-1 scholars sponsored by UGA. There are two types of ISCF fees:
a. If your program at UGA is funded primarily by UGA (meaning more than 50% of your total estimated costs as listed on your DS-2019 form), the fee is $143.00 per year.
b. If your program at UGA is not funded primarily by UGA (meaning less than 50% of your total estimated costs as listed on your DS-2019 form), the fee is $238.00 per year

2. The F-1 / J-1 student OPT / AT fee
a. This fee is charged to UGA sponsored F-1 or J-1 students who are applying for work authorization through the Immigration Services office.

3. I-485 application assistance fee
a. This fee is charged to individuals seeking assistance with the filing of an I-485 application to Adjust Status case. You must have an approved I-140 petition filed by UGA in order to be eligible to use this service.

4. The Change of Category Fee
a. The change of category fee is required of J-1 Exchange Program participants who wish to request a Change of Category inside the U.S. This fee is $367.00, while collected by Immigration Services, is required by, and paid to, the Department of State's Exchange Visitor Program.

Refunds are not allowed unless the fee is assessed in error. If you are using an International Charge Card please alert your bank first so that the charge is not rejected.
