Every three years, IPS hosts a symposium on a single Platonic dialogue, this marks the first time the event will be hosted in the United States. As current president of the organization, University of Georgia Department of Philosophy Distinguished Research Professor and Josiah Meigs Distinguished Teaching Professor Edward Halper is the primary coordinator of Symposium XIII. Over 100 abstracts in the society's five official languages have been accepted for talks to be presented in a hybrid Symposium. The five-day event includes an excursion Wednesday afternoon (July 20) and a banquet on Thursday evening (July 21).
Includes coffee and snacks, receptions, lunches at Bolton Food Court, and one copy of the published volume of selected papers from the Symposium
