Fire in the Forest: A PLT Educator Training

Join us for a dynamic, hands-on one-day training designed for educators from upper elementary through high school. This session focuses on the vital role of prescribed burning in forest management and ecosystem health. Participants will have the opportunity to connect with local professionals and experts in the field of prescribed fire and engage in activities designed to help bring the topics to life in and out of the classroom. Additionally, educators will receive certification in Project Learning Tree (PLT) and the Explore Your Environment: K-8 Activity Guide. This training is perfect for formal and nonformal educators seeking to enrich their teaching with hands-on environmental education tools.
