Forest Health Update: BMPs, Pests, and Wildlife Disease

This ZOOM course will be led by Dr. James Johnson on September 17, 2026.  Registration is $120.00.

This virtual short course aims to provide updates on recent disturbances to wildlife and forests, including an update on forestry best management practices (BMPs), pests and disease outbreaks associate with hurricane damaged timber stands, an update on CWD in Georgia and how you can use trail cameras to monitor deer populations, and an update on the impacts of the recent screwworm outbreak on native wildlife. 

This course provides all of the hours required to renew Georgia Master Timber Harvester licenses and 4 hours of Cat 1 SAF credits for registered foresters. 



Refund Policy : You can receive a complete refund of your course registration fee and any optional credit fees up to one week before the first day of the course. After that point no refund will be given, but you can send someone else in your place.
