From the introduction: "This training manual is intended to provide the information needed to meet the standards of the Environmental Protection Agency for pesticide applicator certification and prepare applicators to take an examination developed by the State Department of Agriculture. Additional information in the form of publications and short courses can be obtained from the Cooperative Extension Service and the Georgia Department of Public Health.This manual will provide information important to the control of mosquitoes, including:

• Mosquito life cycles and habitats
• Recognition of pests and vectors
• Methods used to control pests and vectors
• Arbovirus surveillance
• Descriptions of other common pests."
