From the introduction: "This manual was prepared for a national audience and then modified to reflect public health issues found in Georgia and is intended to assist those preparing to obtain licensure in the public health pest management field. Not all of the pests described occur in this state but those are clearly labeled as not occurring in Georgia. The impact of the pests described varies by state and region, and these differences may or may not be indicated in the text. You are expected to have a working knowledge of the material in this manual. The information below on “How to Prepare for the Certification Exam” will be helpful to you during your studies for the category exam. However, this manual is not a comprehensive guide to public health pest management in Georgia."
