The Fifth Symposium on Urbanization and Stream Ecology (SUSE5) is an interdisciplinary meeting held approximately every 3-5 years with the specific goal of furthering the scientitic study of strem ecosystems in urban landscapes. The 5th Symposium on Urbanization and Stream Ecology (SUSE5) will be held February 12 to 15, 2020 in downtown Austin, Texas at the Palmer Events Center, on beautiful Ladybird Lake.
The theme is: Moving the barn on multidisciplinary solutions to wicked urban stream problems
Barriers for effective management and restoration are wicked problems requiring expertise in natural science, social science, the humanities, communication, engineering, landscape architecture, and education. Participants will work in diverse teams to tackle complex real-world problems in urban stream management through in-depth case studies. Please visit the SUSE5 website for more information.
Attendees are strongly encouraged to register and arrange accommodations early (the meeting will be capped at 150 and we are competing for accommodations with several concurrent events with >10,000 attendees). Registration includes heavy appetizers during the opening session and three days of lunches.
If space is still available, late registration will occur ahead of the opening session on site 2/12/20 ($300 for standard / $150 for students).
